How this page works. Passim checks the Board of Immigration Appeals, the federal courts of appeals, the Supreme Court’s docket, the Federal Register, USCIS, EOIR and the State Department several times a day, and follows federal immigration cases in its litigation tracker. Where a source states its point in its own words, the item quotes it: a decision’s headnotes, a docket entry, a Federal Register summary. For a court of appeals opinion, an AI model picks the passage in which the court states its holding, and the page shows it only after a check confirms the passage appears word for word in the opinion. Rulings from the case tracker carry the tracker’s headline, and practice-area labels are added by Passim.
